Its up on boldania test server for them to playtest and give feedback and the download is public along with me running through it daily looking for bugs. I am not leaving it up to the staff as that they are unreliable to keep constant communication with. However I do send messages to Clarky while he is offline and we communicate back and forth talking about the maps progress and he also has the most recently outdated version which is available for download. I might continue adding edited versions to the forums so that people arnt just consistently reporting the same bugs.

Swamplands V2 : FPS Update Changelog: Way too fucking much but among other things.... -Grape vineyard near export removed -Outlaw camp relocated and outlaw village removed entirely. -Vornneston removed and replaced with an admin event faction (removing that castle alone allowed me to remove 150 props from the map to help with fps) -removed over 800 props to help with fps ranging from trees to commoner clothes to all the sailboats (not rowboats) on the map except for one and most importantly...removing arrow holders and war carts as they have 1000000000000000 faces on them and drop fps like a MOAB out the belly of a stealth bomber. -Complete rework of texture/landscape to remove all grass texture as it has load on demand flora in dx9 which can affect fps along with just trying to make the map prettier to look at. -All iron and salt mines relocated to central swamp to not only lower prop count but also centralize mining in one place like on VoS where everyone had to go to the mines to mine iron. Welcome to the swamp mines of Swampland. -Gold relocated to old Vornneston Castle position. -Silver added in old Gold location. Event faction is locked behind an invisible wall. Admins can teleport people into the event faction for such examples as: an archer wanting to train sergeant for a meele tournament or someone wanting to train man at arms to participate in a joust or even better for an admin to organize a caravan raid/ pirate event/ something where players can join the event faction and participate as the event for other players to interact with.

This was a lot of fun but yeah my FPS was pretty bad. Once that gets fixed I think it will be a really good map.

So I lost my fps fix but after doing a few hours of testing with ebdanian we figured out what causes the most fps drops in regards to props. So this time around I will re-edit the map and aim for a goal of 5 more fps than Holy Lands. It is doable seeing as before I lost the damn file I got the fps to equal that of Holy Land all across the map with no exceptions. FPS update will be available before Sunday for a hopeful Sunday Relaunch of Swampland 2.0

I believe I figured out the main problem my maps have in regards to fps being that they are too small. I have been doing comparisons from castle to castle and what Ive noticed is that my castles are closer to eachother than the ones on Holy Lands and Great Divide. There is more empty space from castle to castle. This is just an assumption so I will be making a taleworlds post and seeing what feedback I can get.

The PK props are a huge mixed bag when it comes to FPS. Some have virtually no effect but others like the weapon carts cause my FPS to drop by 3 or 4 per cart when looking directly at them. I think in the future all weapon carts should be removed and replaced with the default PW carts. The problem with this is that it removes any convenient way to store arrows and bolts. I think the old carts should be able to carry bolts and I really don't understand why they cant.

I agree with ebdanian its a pain is the ass not being able to store bolts in any cart cept the war carts, which dont get me wrong are cool but if you dont have any your shit outta luck. Edwards the map looks fantastic i loved it when it was first released and look forward to playing it with all the revisions soon!

So I was messing around with Eds map and I was really confused as to why I was only getting like 50 FPS. I went back into the settings and turned off Edit mode. When I loaded the map up again to test fps I was getting a full 120 FPS. So PSA if any of you have that turned on by mistake it makes a huge difference. I made sure it wasnt just that particular map by loading up NA_Infinity and I only got 60 FPS on Realm divided with edit mode on. Without it I get 120 on that map easily.
