Common sense should be applied to all rules. The staff team reserve the right to issue punishments felt appropriate to any player(s) who fail to follow these rules. The right to interpret these rules as they see fit is held by the staff team members.
It is YOUR responsibility as a player to know and follow these rules. Failure to do so will result in punishment!
1. RDMing (Random-Deathmatching)
You may not attack a player without a valid reason. Reason you may attack a player are, but not limited to, the following:
- They have attacked/halted you or a member of your faction.
- They are in a faction you are at war with or are assisting a faction you are at war with (ie. repairing their gates, healing them)
- They are assisting a faction you are at war with. (I,e. A doctor healing an enemy faction member)
- They have made a hostile gesture towards you. (I,e. Holding an attack at you *Screenshot required*)
- They are aiming/swinging at you (screenshot/video required).
- They have threatened to kill you.
- They have stolen from you or your faction.
- They are destroying your factionβs property. (Screenshot needed, includes gates to castles)
- They have failed to comply with a valid demand. (See Demand Rules.)
- They are interfering in your war. (Screenshot/Video required.) (body shield, break doors, raid.)
- They have insulted you in local chat.
- They have kicked/punched/horse bumped you twice.
- Somebody has asked for help killing somebody in local chat. (Saying "say help" is KR)
- Outlaws cannot help factions when help is called, and vice versa.
- If you kill someone, their loot is yours. You may kill anyone seen looting it within a 30-second time-frame. During war, you and your faction may say no loot, and you may kill anybody looting near where the demand was made, ie. saw the no loot demand, even your own faction members. In order to make sure everybody sees this demand, you should have multiple faction members say it in places throughout the battlefield.
Killbaiting is prohibited(i.e. placing loot only to gain a killreason).
*Note* You can't have a kill reason for something out of the game, such as on TeamSpeak. All kill reasons must come from in-game interaction.
These kill reasons only last for 10 minutes. If you or the player you have a kill reason on dies or logs out, the kill reason is lost.
2. Combat Logging
You may not log out to avoid death in any way, shape, or form. You cannot log out until 5 minutes after somebody has attacked you with no renewed conflict unless either party has died.
Forms of combat log include, but are not limited to:
- Logging out while in combat/hostile situation. (Being Halted for example)
- Logging out while falling/jumping to your death.
- Logging out if somebody is breaking a rule against you. Even if they are randoming, you will be punished for clog as well!
- Factions logging out en masse after a war is declared is not permitted under any circumstances. Mass logging of a faction in a castle under active siege is considered Combat-Logging. The High-Command responsible for the Mass-Logging will be held responsible for the actions of the entire clan and will receive the punishment for them.
- If a clan is logging off/about to log off you can declare on them and they must cease logging off, but declaring a war in order to keep a faction on when you don't actually plan on fighting them will be severely punished.
- Keeping a war active for the sake of keeping a clan online will be severely punished.
3. NRR (No Revenge Rule)
- You may not seek out and kill a player who has killed you simply out of revenge revenge on somebody who killed you in a previous life.
- You may not incite a hostile situation with someone within 5 minutes of them killing you. This does not apply to war. (See RDM rules).
- If you died, but a skirmish is still on-going, you may rejoin it. Once it has ended, only players still alive from it may restart it.
- You may initiate hostilities with your previous assailants if they're still breaking your faction's property or killing your faction's members after you respawn.
Hostile situations you may not incite on your previous killer include, but are not limited to:
- Stealing of horses/items
- Returning and punching/kicking your previous killer
If a player has killed you, you may not incite hostilities by ignoring a no loot demand - constant abuse of the 'No loot' demand will result in punishment.
4. Griefing
- Killing animals for no reason is considered griefing and will be punished.
- Cart blocking in any circumstance will result in punishment.
- Depleting stocks of a castle is considered griefing.
- When Official factions get on and wish to use their banner, and another faction controls it, they may have that faction change banner to allow them the use of their banner. (Failure to do so will be considered grieving).
5. Discrimination/Harassment/Impersonation
All reports of harassment will be taken seriously by Infinity staff - false complaints/ban baiting will result in severe consequences.
- You may not constantly follow and berate, halt or grief another player.
- Force ERP will not be allowed.
- You may not pretend to be someone which you are not, for instance pretending to be an admin whilst you are not, or having faction tagsequipped when you are not in that faction.
- You may not post or release personal information about a player.
- You may not use racial slurs in global chat.
6. War Rules
Declaring:
- When declaring a war you need to clearly state once in global chat that you are declaring on the given faction, and include a reason e.g "War Antioch reason they are the big gay".
- A legitimate capture attempt in respect to your faction's size must be made within 15 minutes. If it fails, you may keep the war going, but you must make a renewed attempt every 15 minutes or it must be peaced and you cannot redeclare for 10 minutes.
- You cannot war a faction which has no land or a faction that cannot be captured, such as a shop faction.
- War can only be declared when 70% of your faciton and 100% of your banners are at a castle you control, an allies castle (See ally rules below) or the mercenary camp (Will have mercenary training and buyable banners, on most maps has tents).
Warzones:
- Any kills done on non-warring players in a war/skirmish zone, or any area where two or more factions are fighting will be investigated on a case by case basis. As a general rule, you are asking for trouble by entering a warzone as a noncombatant. Avoid them if you don't want to be accidentally killed. If you engage with a player in a war/skirmish zone and that player then leaves the zone (ie. going into a house there is no fighting in, jumping off the walls and running away from the besieged castle), you may not pursue this player and continue to kill him simply because he used to be in a war/skirmish zone.
- If a player has the same tags as a faction you are attacking and is attempting to join the enemy faction, you are permitted to kill them regardless of what faction they are in.
Misc:
- War may not be used to hide RDM. Example: You halt somebody and they comply with your demands, so you war their faction, kill them and then peace. You may not war a faction to kill someone you have imprisoned.
- Spawn killing for prolonged periods of time will not be tolerated, nor may you delay a capture attempt to spawn kill a faction. Capture the castle ASAP.
- Administrators reserve the right to end continous wars as they see fit.
- You may not help in any way in a war unless you are in one of the factions at war. (Doctors healing is the ONLY exception)
7. Raiding Rules
-You may raid (i.e start a skirmish at another factions castle through breaking gates/building ladders) no more than once every 20 minutes.
-When killed as an aggressor in a raid, you may not return.
-You may not raid a faction while they are at war.
8. Demand Rules
- All demands must include the players name, or their faction name. ("Halt Clarky," "Halt Tyrell") However, after the first demand with their name, this isn't needed (ie. Halt Clarky, then later you need only say show pouch, not Clarky/Tyrell show pouch)
- You may only halt the same player/group of players once every ten (10) minutes.
- You must give a player five (5) seconds to comply with a 'halt' demand.
- You must give a player ten (10) seconds to comply with any other demand.
- You may stack multiple demands at once, Ie. saying Halt Clarky show pouch, however you must give the appropriate time for each demand. (5 seconds for Clarky to halt, then after he has halted, 10 seconds to show pouch. If he halts after 2 seconds, he doesn't have 13 to show pouch, he has 10.)
- You must allow the full time allotted for demand compliance before attacking. (Attacking on the 6th second after a halt demand, or 11th after any other demand)
- Demands made must be clear enough to understand.
- You may not demand that a player break the rules of the server, leave the server/module, or insult/provoke others.
- You may not demand that a player complete an act that is impossible. (I,e. "Drop all" when a player has 0 in their pouch)
- You may not make a demand that results in unavoidable death or injury to another player. (Ie. jump to your death)
- If a player complies with your demand(s), you may not kill him.
- You may not demand someone to do an animation. (PK animations: sit, sleep etc. Jump, spin etc.)
9. Imprisonment
- You may imprison someone for 15 minutes.
- You may not kill a prisoner if their faction does not pay a ransom.
- You may only imprison people who are trespassing on your land.
- Logging out while imprisoned is considered a combat log.
In the case of imprisonment, all demands formulated to the prisoners MUST BE reasonable. Demands may not be used to abuse the system and to bait for kill reasons. Admins reserve the right to decide if a demand is reasonable or not.
10. Theft/Robbery Rules
- Anyone may demand 100% of a playerβs pouch and their horse.
- ONLY outlaws may rob armor and items.
- You may not have a member of your faction/clan train outlaw for the sole purpose of halting/robbing someone or someone in your custody or imprisonment.
- You may demand someone to dismount their horse, however, you may only take or kill the horse if you are an outlaw.
11. Glitching/Exploiting
- Abusing scripts to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. (For example, using a shield when capturing a castle to avoid damage is explicitly illegal.)
- Carts may not be used to obstruct or inhibit other players. Cart Blocking any path is not allowed whatsoever.
- Horses may not be used to block spawns or the only path from the spawn (Ie. the only exit from a building the spawn is in).
12. Faction/Player Names
- Offensive names, such as racial slurs, are prohibited from faction/player names.
- Administrators reserve the right to force any player or faction to change their name.
- Admins telling you to change your faction/character name is not a request, if refused you will face punishment.
13. Administration
- When a player is in an 'admin sit' (In which a complaint is being dealt with), they may not be killed for any reason. Admins must have admin armor on or the PK riot shield and baton so that players can clearly tell who an admin is.
- All kill reasons expire and/or invalidated when a player enters talks with an administrator.
- Killing a player in an admin sit will result in severe punishment if deemed to be done with intent.
- Bans involving racism should be a heavy fine, and then a temp ban if it persists.
It is YOUR responsibility as a player to know and follow these rules. Failure to do so will result in punishment!
