I used to hate clans now Im forced to have people with tags so they dont get banned for playing with me under your current ruleset "help" is impractical in countless situations and it took countless bans on a prior server before I decided to make a clan. Ask anyone I ran solo for years and rarely clanned up or made a rp clan. Yes we do have a semi cancerous playstyle. But 90% of the stuff we do is no different than what everyone else that plays this game does. If 4 HRE are riding around and see a lone tin on foot, they along with every other clan would halt them / kill them. I know this because I've been apart of several of the clans that have been around and played with many of them in TS and they are all the same.

Edward's feelings towards pw for 4 years has been he wants all clans disbanded and the only people to play to play like they did 8 years ago as commoner semi-rp'ing. If he thinks this destructive bullshit that will make 80-90% of the server leave, why should we take anything that he says seriously in regards to "helping" the server? If he wants to disband all the clans, he clearly wants the server to die, and if he wants the server to die, therefore we can assume that his ideas are with his overall agenda of destroying the server...

That's the thing. He doesn't want the server to die, he truly cares for it. But hes misguided and disillusioned when he thinks that his ideas will make everyone love the server more, when in reality it would be only him and a few others. He can't grasp the concept of the communities overall culture changing to a different playstyle.
Edwards is Dutch van der Lin in the truest form and PK is civilization.

Nobody is trying to actively kill the server, nor does any sizable group of people want to go back to the "good" old days and get on to rp for 4 hours. PW/PK is a very old mod now as is Warband in general. For the vast majority of players, myself included, the only enjoyment to be had is fighting people because it's competitive and takes skill, not talking to some commoner at the shop faction.

It's not like this is even an argument, there's empirical proof. Wasn't Celestial enough? His bloc (I don't know if Edwards was part of the destruction of that server, but he certainly would have supported what killed it) was what destroyed Celestial, a good server. Not perfect by any means, but certainly better than everything that came after. It's not like he has a valid point when what he has proposed completely destroyed Celestial, which, say what you will of it, but Celestial was fairly stable for a while, had good scripts and hosted seven months of Blackfyre, every day of which there were huge wars (unless Edwards successfully derailed them). Either he is ignorant to what destroyed Celestial ( ), he is insane expecting the same thing to have different results, or he actually wants to destroy the mod, because removing the banks very nearly destroyed the mod, if it wasn't for Avenger and Fergus, the mod would be dead on the NA side less 4 or 5 people playing on no bank Celestial (Which I doubt Gedizz would bother keeping up). Again, I do have serious doubts that Edwards doesn't want the server to die. As I said, there are only three possible explanations for why he contiues to advocate for destructive rulesets: he doesn't know what happened to Celestial, he is crazy or he wants to destroy the mod. You yourself, a veteran member of the RCC in its leadership stated that if he can't have fun his way, he doesn't want anybody to (in regards to the clans, who make up 70-95% of the server). But I'm the one who is destructive to the mod beacuse I'm bringing 45+ people to the server as well as rivalries through other clans fighting us. Edwards is the good guy trying to fight the "autism" of the good content which happens when big clans are up. Whether he intentionally wants to destroy the mod or not, what he's advocating for will. If he doesn't realize that, I will repeat for the third time, he is either oblivious, insane or lying.

If you really think Edwards, who plays this mod religiously, wants the server to die, you're a tad delusional. I agree with you however that Edwards' idea is no longer applicable and most people would not enjoy it, but I don't think most people are disagreeing with that sentiment anyway.

you cant believe anything edwards has to say he is literally a retard who accused me of ddosing him for like a year straight with 0 proof
also you talk about everyone prancing around as knights and shit but that is exactly what rcc does, they ride around on cav in full tin halting everyone or just being cancer
to be honest edwards is probably just going insane off on some pacific island reliving the good old days of pw in his head where you had to serf for 5 hours everyday and roleplay
also meli is right edwards isnt purposely trying to kill the mod he is just retarded

I think the bigger issue here is clans getting attacked by a mass of either pubs or clans without tags on before they are even set up. It has happened to Mercia probably every day we got on this week and last week. When a clan gets declared on by 15 people before they are set up and ready for war, it makes them just want to quit honestly. Especially since the second they get tin again, they'll be attacked for a second time.

Except for the clans with a 70 man roster that bannercall and summon a a continuous flow of 2 or 3 people every minute over a 20 minute period. Big gay. Would honestly love to see the original combat logging scripts back when they were first introduced and it would be easy as fuck to recreate. The scripts had a radius that you could log out in like log out zones and there were one or two per map roped off areas where if you logged out you kept your gear. Instead, this bullshit today= no one can play the mod properly because 50 wizards live in each castle and can teleport home when called at any point. Its big gay. Now im sure even the people who hate my ideas can agree that log off zones are a much better alternative to clans mass logging in a castle and "claiming" a castle and bannercalling on anyone who dare try to play there that isnt them.

I can agree with that one. I do think a log-off zone is healthy. The only issue I could see with it is outlaws standing outside of it waiting to halt for tin. However, it is a serious issue having to wonder whether a faction is at war or not, or dealing with spawning into a faction that instantly kicks you and kills you in the castle, etc.

the dangers of logging in I suppose. It would honestly fix so so many things wrong wtih the community that I think outlaws camping it shouldnt be a problem worth noting seeing as this one thing would fix combat logging entirely, would make the world actually feel persistent again like you were logging into an ongoing world not logging in knowing okay... every fucking faction logged out in their keeps AGAIN guess its gonn be the same fucking story every night for the 3rd year running.

I wish there was some way to make serfing important again. The meta is to go to war naked with a mace and beat someone, take their tin, then either log off or sell it for money and repeat. Also, I do think halting rules need to be changed to get people to carry money again.

The only problem with this is that due to clans mass recruiting the new community (artificial population that only logs in once a day for 20 minutes to an hour deopending on how long it takes for exactly one fight/siege to take place before all mass logging) the issue would stand that 100 people would lose their advantage and playstyle they have grown to love and appreciate and nothing can change their mind on that this is the best way to play PK.
