In addition to the events on weekends, Clarky and I discussed something along the lines of a field battle each Wednesday. This would help spice things up, boost population during mid-week and give something that is really boast worthy for the big clans. These would be admin sponsored, but you aren't forced to go. Here's some details I wrote up while some normie was whining about how Czechs like to burn people:
The Battlefield:
Each map has a predetermined location for battles set by the admins. There are specific starting positions for each side, but after its live, any maneuvers are fair game. A clan may send troops around flanks, hold hills, buildings, ruins or outposts, but if they run into a castle, the other side is declared the winner. Small towns like Rickfield or Glumnar without breakable gates don't count.
The Spoils:
The faction that takes the field is declared the winner and receives 500k from the admins. Each sideβs victory or defeat will be recorded in the Victory Ledger, a list of who has won what battles on the forums.
Signing Up:
Any clan may sign up, but the biggest faction that does so for each side is considered the Main Competitor. They are the ones that get the 500k and victory or defeat on the Victory Ledger. Perhaps the winner gets a gold medal, the loser a silver, and the minor clans that participate on the winning side could get a Bronze. After sign ups are closed an hour beforehand, no other clans are allowed to participate. Somebody who leads pleb factions like Meli, Tenton or Nikkle is free to sign up, and public players can either join this faciton, or one of the clans that is participating. There are no ninja caps allowed. You may rejoin the fight until the admins declare a winner. Any clan may sign up on any side, but once you sign up you cannot cancel. Keep in mind that the numbers won't necessarily be balanced/even. If either side doesn't think the numbers are fair or they just don't want to do it, they aren't going to be forced to show up, but the other side will be declared winner.
Misc:
These battles would likely take place sometime around 8:15-8:30 EST, as most clans call banners around 7:45-8:00, giving them more than enough time to get their full strength to the battlefield.
The Victors are allowed to attack the losers afterwards if they so choose, but they don't have to.
Any players attempting to sabotage the event (ie. pubs joining a side just to teamkill a clan they don't like) will be punished.
Win or Lose, I'll be posting all of these to my YouTube channel as separate videos to my House Blackfyre Episodes, in a different, more professional and less biased style (im definitely not biased!!!).
