Okay so i got bored because the server was acting up and kicking me out because my name is already in use lol i imagine its some steam guid issues
So i decided to start making a map, the idea behind this map is this. You have one single large scale castle with multiple lines of defense, And it has some of the best gear available to war with. But the thing about it is, it has multiple attack points and choke points as well, Starting the siege your options are a direct attack on the door as always and ladders, After this point it gets more complacated for the defenders, after the attackers break through they have three options, go through the town in a direct assault or go down the walls on either side and break those doors down, The choices continue after this point in which you have 4 options of attack this time, the main keep door either side door on the second level or an extra door up a set of stairs, at which point i have not decided if i will add stairs going to the very top as a single choke point in which to defend of just place the flag somewhere else in the castle.
So the whole point of this map in my mind was, So we have the blackfyres very populous i would imagine they try and keep hold of this bad boy at all times since they favor these type of castles. So while they are out on their own all the other clans with their alliances would work together to continuously put siege to the main castle and claim it for themselves, i thought people might enjoy this idea and i wanted to see what people thought about the idea it self before i continue developing it
As it stands i will have a store faction within the first defense of the city to act independently or together with the main castle if they like with access to plate, plated chargers etc
And im also adding in a splinter faction that could be whatever the faction wants it to be, a group of thugs, town guard, assassins, terrorist working with the outside factions to remove the faction holding the castle, whatever you like really, neither of these factions will have a capture point but that may change for the splinter faction depending on what people say.
As for the rest im going to 100% avoid saranid at all costs, so expect nordic and European themes and gear all around the only place anything saranid will be offered is the shop
This is going to be a flatter map more plains like but by no means is the focus on cav in open battle cav will dominate obviously depending on skill but all siege encounters should be expected to be very close quarters
there will be a gold mine as well as a silver mine separate from each other the only sell point will be on the shop counter so anyone can sell at any point. I can't remember the maps name but i remember a system like this that worked well
